We are currently looking for reliable Support Workers at our Short Breaks Service, which provides respite support for adults with additional needs away from their families.
Role and Responsibilities
· Assist clients with day-to-day tasks
· Personal care and hygiene, which may include bathing, showering, hair washing, shaving, oral hygiene, and incontinence care/toileting
· Accompany clients on outings and activities
· Participating in the management of client Care Plans and having full awareness of any specialist support needs
· Administering clients’ medication as and when required
· Taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of the clients and making sure that clients are always treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
Experience and Skills-set
We are looking for people who are naturally compassionate, caring, and keen to forge a career with us. To be considered for the role, you should:
· Ideally, bring some experience as a Support Worker or Care Worker, working with clients with learning disabilities.
· Excellent written and spoken English.
· Great empathy skills and ability to put the needs of our clients first.
· Good listening skills with patience.
· Calm, caring and compassionate.
· Level 2 NVQ Health & Social Care is desirable, but the experience is not essential as we provide full training.
· Own transport would be advantageous due to location.
We offer full training and completion of the Care Certificate.
