Speech and Language Therapist - Band 5 or 6

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Speech and Language Therapist to join our services in Berkshire (Reading) and/or Buckinghamshire (Slough/High Wycombe) working within our specialist services for young people with Language disorder, Learning difficulties, Autism & Down syndrome, based in our growing college and mainstream services.

Symbol UK is a not-for-profit speech and language therapy service. We are proud of the breadth of skills and experience in our staff team, where specialist speech and language therapists work alongside highly experienced therapists, assistants and co-workers across the South East.  This enables us to offer a range of specialist speech, language and communication assessments, intervention and support to children and adults with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.

The post is three days per week, with the potential to increase to full time.  Term time only + 3 weeks, or all year round is negotiable.  We can offer flexible working patterns where contacts allow.  We have excellent support and supervision systems and provide a high level of training and mentoring.  The majority of our staff team have worked in our services for many years, developing specialist skills and their portfolio of responsibilities within our services.

Starting salary commensurate with NHS Band 5 or 6 Agenda for change, depending on skills and experience.

If you would like to discuss this post or find out more about working for Symbol, please contact Kate Hopcraft (Operational Manager West) or our HR team on hradmin@symbolconnect.co.uk or 01622 863291.
