Job Title: Speech and Language Therapists (Band 5)
Area: Buckinghamshire and Berkshire
Position: Full Time
Services: Working within our Down Syndrome services, and in a various settings working within school-age services for young people with speech, language and communication needs.
Rate: Competitive salary – dependant on experience.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Speech and Language Therapist to join our services in Buckinghamshire or Berkshire, working in our expanding contracts with mainstream and special schools, youth justice services, and our syndrome-specific speech and language therapy services for children and young people who have Down Syndrome.
Symbol UK is a not-for-profit speech and language therapy service. We are proud of the breadth of skills and experience in our staff team, where specialist speech and language therapists work alongside highly experienced therapists, assistants and co-workers across the South East. This enables us to offer a range of specialist speech, language and communication assessments, intervention and support to children and adults with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, but part time and/or term-time only can be considered. We can offer flexible working patterns where contacts allow. We have excellent support and supervision systems and provide a high level of training and mentoring. Most of our staff team have worked in our services for many years, developing specialist skills and their portfolio of responsibilities within our services.
Starting salary commensurate with NHS Band 5 – Agenda for change, depending on skills and experience. Therapists due to qualify in the next six months are encouraged to apply.
