Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5 or 6)
Area: Buckinghamshire and Berkshire
Rate: Starting salary commensurate with NHS Band 5/6
Position: Part/Full Time.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Speech and Language Therapist to join our special school services in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, working alongside other members of our growing team, in an established secondary based Special school. There is flexibility with regards to both part time or full time, term time +3 weeks or all year round, as well as the grade of the role, to suit the right candidate as well as the needs of the service.
Symbol UK is a not-for-profit speech and language therapy service. We are proud of the breadth of skills and experience in our staff team, where specialist speech and language therapists work alongside highly experienced therapists, assistants and co-workers across the South East. This enables us to offer a range of specialist speech, language and communication assessments, intervention and support to children and adults with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, but part time and/or term-time only can be considered. We can offer flexible working patterns where contracts allow. We have excellent support and supervision systems and provide a high level of training and mentoring. The majority of our staff team have worked in our services for many years, developing specialist skills and their portfolio of responsibilities within our services.
Starting salary depending on skills and experience. Prior to completion of course £28,423 per annum full time as a co-worker – with appropriate job role and support to this grade. Salary increases to £30,777 per annum full time on completion of course as a Band 5/D therapist, with continued regular, high quality supervision and support.
