We are looking for a dedicated, experienced and energetic Assistant Team Leader with great interpersonal skills to help lead and inspire our team of fantastic support workers based within our Supported Living Service in Harrietsham in Maidstone, Kent.
The Assistant Team Leader will assist the Team Leader in delivering a high quality service supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities to live truly fulfilling lives. Reporting directly to the Team Leader, the Assistant Team Leader will help inspire, enable and encourage our clients to have as much autonomy as possible over how they live and how they are supported. The Assistant Team Leader will provide direct support and ultimately contribute to improving the lives of our clients within our Harrietsham Supported Living Service.
Compassionate, conscientious and a clear communicator, you will have extensive knowledge and an experienced understanding of what constitutes ‘good care’. Level headed and self-motivated, you’re a champion for people with learning and physical disabilities and believe anything is possible. Taking pride and owning everything you do, you:
Have a proven track-record of working successfully in a Supported Living Service that is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
Have good working knowledge of correct and current procedures and regulations
Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures
Are confident in liaising with managers to help leading, supporting and supervising a team
Can manage your time effectively and efficiently
This post will require an Enhanced DBS and a full, clean driving licence. Basic knowledge of British Sign Language/Makaton is desirable.
