We are looking for a dedicated, experienced and energetic Team Leader with great interpersonal skills to lead our team of fantastic support workers based within our Supported Living Service in Herne Bay.

The Herne Bay Team Leader will be responsible for leading and delivering a high quality service supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities to live truly fulfilling lives. Reporting to the Director of Support Services and working alongside the Assistant Team Leader, the Herne Bay Team Leader will inspire, enable and encourage our clients to have as much autonomy as possible over how they live and how they are supported. As well as leading the service, the Team Leader will also provide direct support and ultimately contribute to improving the lives of our clients within our Herne Bay Supported Living Service.

About You:
Compassionate, conscientious and a clear communicator, you will have extensive knowledge and an experienced understanding of what constitutes ‘good care’. Level headed and self-motivated, you’re a champion for people with learning and physical disabilities and believe anything is possible. Taking pride and owning everything you do, you:

  • Have a proven track-record of successfully managing a Supported Living Service that is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

  • Have good working knowledge of correct and current procedures and regulations

  • Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures

  • Are confident in leading, supporting and supervising a team

  • Can strategically and successfully plan, manage and communicate a 24 hour/7 day a week staff rota

  • Can manage your time effectively and efficiently, delegating when necessary and appropriate

This post will require an Enhanced DBS and a full, clean driving licence. Basic knowledge of British Sign Language/Makaton is desirable.
